Alice Conroy

Alice Conroy is the Founder and Managing Director of Pathways to Independence.  Alice brings a diverse range of skills and experience to Pathways and founded the business to enable her to meet a need she felt was under-served in the Brighton and Hove area.  With a background in social care and support, Alice founded the company in 2004 after working across agencies in a specialised role providing intensive, person-centered support to a range of vulnerable client groups.

The business was founded on a strong values base and clear principles of person centred practices, support for the vulnerable and a genuine belief in opportunity for everyone. Pathways has since grown rapidly under her leadership and continues to evolve and grow in new and exciting directions. Alice is recognised as a strong and capable social entrepreneur, female leader and businesswoman and was recognised in Who’s Who 2008 Young Business Leaders. Alice has a BA in Psychology from Sussex University and extensive training in many areas of social care.

Alice is a proud Brightonian and mother of a young daughter and balances the demands of running Pathways to Independence with being a mother.
