People

People are at the very heart of Pathways to Independence. Nearly all of Pathways to Independence team members work directly with young people and all have a strong ethic of social care and person-centred practice. This means that the support and care of young people sits at the heart of all of our decision making and activities.

We believe that to support our young people, it is of utmost importance to support our staff. Ongoing and continuous professional development is an essential part of every Pathways team member’s activities. Consistent investment in training and development is part of how we ensure we are offering the best and most up to date support to young people. Regular supervision ensures that staff are protected and provides oversight at a management level of the care which young people receive.

Pathways has a small Senior Management and Administration Team to support all of the projects. Tom and Alice – company directors and siblings – provide a clear focus and direction in Pathways’ activities to the other staff members, who are all keyworkers with individual strengths and areas of expertise. More details about our keyworkers can be found on these pages.
