Volunteers![]()
The Pathways to Independence Volunteer Programme is extremely beneficial to our volunteers, staff, service users and the local community. At Pathways we value the huge contribution volunteers make to our work and the lives of young people. Volunteers can take on a variety of roles. They provide administrative and logistical support in our offices and supported accommodation and spearhead the planning and implementation of project ideas such as holiday outings. They get involved in the meaningful work of mentoring young people and can contribute to direct work such as learning support. Whilst we benefit from their diverse skills and local community knowledge, volunteers in return are well supported in their roles. They are given the opportunity to learn new skills, gain confidence, and increase their understanding and empathy towards the needs of our clients. Volunteers are given a high level of support both personally and with their tasks in order for them to develop and feel valued as part of our team. Volunteers increase the range of skills, interests, life experiences and cultural backgrounds within Pathways. Furthermore we actively encourage young people to volunteer within the organisation. If you are interested in our volunteering programme please contact the relevant project office. One Future, Different Pathways |
