Outreach![]() Photo by Nhung Dang www.nhungsta.com Pathways to Independence provides outreach support to provide intensive and tailor-made care and guidance for young people in need. We can provide one-on-one or group support to young people. In our outreach programme, support that is provided to young people is generally (though not exclusively) task-based. That is to say, each outreach session has a clear aim in mind, whether it be registering at a doctor’s surgery, attending a solicitor’s appointment, or learning from one of our Independent Living Skills modules. Young people have a named keyworker, as they would in our supported accommodation, who meets with them on a regular basis. Regular sessions with a named keyworker can provide stability and a sense of routine where it is often lacking in many of our young people’s lives. Outreach is ideal for those young people who are very close to independence but who still need help to make their final step. As such, most of our support will include tenancy support and training, house hunting tips, utilities and bills advice, as well as support with accessing benefits. One Future, Different Pathways
