Below is a sample of personal testimonials made by some of the young people at PtI. For many of our young people, English is their second language and testimonials have been written as verbatim.

“Pathways is a group who look after people like me from different countries they help people with there problem make sure all the young people be in education help them with housing 

Since I have been in pathways my life is now good. I feel more confident with my self they help improve my education and social life they always make sure I know my rights if say something to any of the staff or the manager they always keep information confidential they think of a solution to the problem

Rights and responsibility or problem they involved any of the young people they always speak to the young people to give their own opinion then all young people have their own believe and opinion any young people who want to move to pathways please take the chance in my experience they will make a plan for you that will help you in the future in my education I had access to facilities I never had before in college thanks to pathways. During the summer we go out and spend time together like a family then plan something good about the future any plan that pathways have they always inform all the young people. Thanks to pathways for all their help they give to me and my friends.”

“PATHWAYS TO INDEPENDENCE IS A SAFE AND LOVING COMMUNITY WHICH GIVES SUPPORT TO YOUNG PEOPLE FROM DIFFERENT COUNTRIES. PATHWAYS CARES FOR YOUNG PEOPLE IN MANY WAYS, AND PROVIDES YOUNG PEOPLE OF: HOUSE, LIVING, CARE ABOUT YOUNG WHO HASN’T ANY FAMILY, GIVE DIFFERENTS ADVICES ABOUT COLLEGES AND MANY, MANY MORE.THE PEOPLE WHO WORK AT PATHWAYS ARE VERY NICE AND LOVING, THEY REALLY CARE ABOUT ANY YOUNG PERSON. THEY ARE LIKE FAMILY TO ALL THEM”

“I WOULD LIKE TO TELL YOU ALL MY EXPERINCE I HAD WHEN I ARRIVED IN THIS COUNTRY FROM SOMEWREHE SO SAD AND PAINFUL. SOMETIMES I FEEL COMFORTABLE TO TALK ABOUT THIS STORY AND SOMETIMES NOT BECAUSE WHEN YOU PASS THROUGH AN EXPERIENCE YOU CAN’T HAVE ANY PLEASURE OR COURAGE TO TALK TO SOMEONE.

THE COUNTRY I COME FROM IS A BEAUTYFUL PLACE. BUT LET ME TELL YOU ONE THING ABOUT THAT PLACE. EVERY TIME I REMEMBER MY COUNTRY I CRY, AND ALL THE BAD MEMORIES FLOWS LIKE A RIVER IN MY HEAD AND I FIND IT REALLY HARD TO CONTROL MYSELF. BUT ALWAYS I HAVE SOME PEOPLE WHO WERE THERE FOR ME.

WHEN I ARRIVED I WAS IMPRESSED OF MY NEW PLACE OF LIVING. I HAD WONDERFUL PEOPLE WHO TOOK CARE OF ME AND MADE ME FEEL MORE IMPORTANT THAN THE PLACE I COME FROM.

MY FIRST THING I SAW - I KNOW THIS WILL SOUND WEIRD - BUT I SAW THE SNOW AND I WAS REALLY HAPPY AND SUDDENLY CRIED. I STILL THANK THOSE PEOPLE SO MUCH

BUT LIFE DIDIN’T STOP THERE. MORE PEOPLE START COMING INTO MY LIFE WITH LOTS OF AND LOTS OF SUPPORT AND SHOW ME HOW TO STOP BEING SAD AND FOCUS ON A BEAUTFUL LIFE WHICH IS IN FRONT OF ME.
